Research Center

The Center for Accounting Research (CAR) was founded in 2005. A core activity of CAR is internationally acknowledged cutting edge research in the field of accounting. An important goal is to contribute to the development of accounting theory and to accounting practice, such as influencing accounting regulation and the application of management accounting instruments. The CAR makes scientific knowledge available to stakeholders such as corporations, tax accountants, auditors and regulators. Another central task is the training, promotion and integration of young scientists into the international research community.
